There are a few types of gifts.
The gift that you've always wanted but can't afford; the gift that you least expect but will be delighted as you find ways to use it; and the gift that you didn't want or ask for but the giver knows you'll need.
This holiday, I was given the gift of time - which fall under all three of the above gift type for me. Though unexpected, it is a gift that someone thought I'd need. So I will treasure it and make the best use out of it.
So this holiday, whatever gift you receive, big or small, unexpected or not - find a way to make use of it, treasure it and you will find it ended up bring you more joy and meaning than anything you asked for to start with.
Because if we all knew exactly what we need in life then where is the fun in living?

Every year, December 2nd reminds me to look back and reflect on how I've grown and where I want to be next until the next 1202. This year is no exception. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to say to myself every year that I have grown a little wiser and have stepped one step closer to my goals and dreams. I am excited for the next twelve months to come and am proud of myself for the things that I have set up for the coming future.
Twenty-five and I am more confident in myself than ever. Confident in my own skin, confident in my worth in this world, confident in my ability to stand up and speak up for what I believe in, and confident that I have the strength to push and work hard towards the things I am passionate about.
Twenty five and I am healthy. I am healthy in my mind and body. More than ever, I feel stronger and more capable of doing things that I never imagine I could do. I have found the value in quietness, and introspective. I see now the value of will power, of where your mind can take you to when your body gives up. One step at a time, I am taking care of the one and only body I was given and am learning how to take care of my mind and soul.
Twenty five and I am surrounded by love. I am incredibly grateful and humbled to have great friends and family all over the globe. Some people say quality over quantity when it comes to friends, but somehow I am lucky enough to have both. On days like today, I feel that love magnified and can't help but be happy and sad at the same time, as I long to be with everyone of you, everywhere on this earth. I am grateful for nights of long conversations doused with wine and for friends that are there no matter what.
Twenty five and I am proud. I am proud of the decisions that I've made. I am proud of the woman I am becoming. I am proud of my accomplishments, and proud of the life I've build for myself.
A little thought I wanted to share on this very special day of mine. I want to thank you all for being in my life and helped make me the person I am today. Cheers for more years to come and for a wonderful holiday season!

I found a pair of this vintage fringe jeans at a night market in Vietnam this past summer and fell in love. Since I've gotten so many compliments from them, asking where people can purchase them in the States. I have been looking for them online for them and I've finally found a few similar pairs (links below).
This outfit is a combination of all my favorite things in one place: Off the shoulder embroidered top - comfy and doesn't required a bra, fun fringe jeans, mules and an easy cross-body bag which I've fallen in love with (most post on this bag later!)

I like to think of myself as someone who is open-minded and embraces
change elegantly. More often than not, it is not the case. Changes,
especially ones that include various unknown factors, are terrifying. I have moved 5 times in the last 5 years. Some moves are simply just to another apartment down the street, but some moves are to a whole new country. The latter is definitely life changing. In these coming few months, I am embarking on another exciting yet scary move.
This week's post is all about the flow.
Summer in Texas is starting to show it's color and it looks like the cold and extended winter doesn't have anything to do with cooling down the J-months. I've been dreading jeans short this year as I gravittate more towards the flowy option. I didn't bring one with me to Coachella (see my Coachella outfit post
here) and haven't touched one since the official start of summer. Because why get stuck in the heavy & stiff hot material when there are so many other lightweight options that promotes ventilation and movement?
Life is a journey. It takes you to places you've never been before, introduces you to strangers who would end up being lifelong friends and lead you to experiences you never though you would have. Life as it is. I've learned to accept where it takes me, though at times the steps to get there might be hard and painful- because stepping towards a thing, meant stepping away from something else. But I trust where my life is taking me, because everything happens for a reason and the only way to go is forward. The best thing about life is the memories it gives you. Every time you look back on the paths that you've take, I hope you see beautiful memories and joy. I am lucky to say that my life so far haven't disappoint me. I trust where it's taking me next and I am ready for the next adventure!
Why I love this outfit? So many things: White on White, Lace on Lace, Co-ording hard core, the girly crop top and best of all it has pockets! It effortlessly combines all of this summer's hottest trends and is also so refreshing and easy to wear in the burning hot (begining of) summer.
I got myself some teal hair and I LOVE it!
I have always wanted blue hair but the thought of being so different from everyone else is mind-blowingly scary. However, a wise young lady always said to me , "Yolo, life's too short." So I said back "Why not?" and got my life long dream done. I have never felt so much like myself before. & Another bucket list item: checked.
Short n sweet post today for this Coachella left over outfit. If only I was still at Coachella this weekend... Oh how I miss the sunny dessert, only 365 days-ish to go until the next one.
Coachella truly is something else; in my opinion, the happiest place on earth. I've never danced so much, laughed so hard, and enjoyed being so squooshed and sweaty so much in my life.
A fiesta of colors and pattern is what it is. The much anticipated Peter Pilotto for Target came this morning in a whirlwind of bright colors and mixed prints with a wide variety of designs to choose from. These items are the perfect burst of colors for this coming Spring, into Summer, as we bid adieu to one of the coldest winter months. Read on more for a review of the collection.
Icepocalypse Dallas weekend
Fall outfit in neon and black today.
In this hundred degree heat putting on clothes feels like a punishment and having any material clinging on our body at all is a crime to ourselves. That's why shift dress has been my go to article of clothing these past few weeks, along with a ton of sunscreen and a hat of some sort.
First of all I would like to apologize for the MIA status for such a long time.Thank you so much for all of your patience and continuous support! Today's post is a short little update on what I've been up to and my next time in life.
Short post today for my rare neutral moment.
Playing around with old denims and funky blazer today for a preppy yet casual look.
It's Spring and I'm cold. Something's not right. Yes, the flowers are booming. Yes, the birds are singing. Then there's me right there freezing to death with this spring weather madness. Worst part? I live in Texas. What's going on up North? I really don't wanna know.
I've been waiting eagerly for warmth to come. As that first day of Spring hits, I'm like a little child who found her long lost baby doll. The beauty of nature blooming again excites me. And the thought of being able to enjoy the sun, the flowers, and dressing in whatever I want again is simply electrifying for me.
Everything comes to an end when I woke up, checked the forecast and it says 35F and 70% of rain.
What to wear today?
